Welcome, Bienvenue!

Quilters’ Guild Acadienne is located in Lafayette, Louisiana. Lafayette is located along the Vermillion River and is the heart of Acadiana and the unofficial capital of Cajun Country. The term Acadiana, (a-kay’-dee-anna) has come to signify all that is great about south Louisiana. It encompasses the “joie de vivre” of Cajun Country and the “work hard and play hard” attitude of the people who live here.

The members of the Quilters’ Guild Acadienne embrace “joie de vivre” which is the cheerful enjoyment of life! We gather monthly to share our love of quilting and to experience the support and encouragement of our fellow quilters. We explore many aspects of the quilting process and have members who have interests that range from very traditional to ultra modern. So, if you love a pair of scissors or a rotary cutter, precise patterns or improvisational piecing, reproduction prints or batiks or all of the above – you will find someone in our Guild who shares that same love!

Embrace your own “joie de vivre” and join us. Together we will explore the world of quilting, increase our depth of knowledge, and cheerfully enjoy life!

We invite you to explore our website to learn more about us and how to join our Guild.

 Quilting Tip of the Month

Instead of squaring up your quilt top when it's finished, square up each block immediately before sewing them together. No problems later!

If you have a quilting tip that you would like to share with our membership, please send your tip to Judy Garber at at
